I recently experienced the 'Design-to-Destress' fun!
One of my friends wanted to do up a logo for his new business venture called 'Yashail' which is a business group dealing in Real Estate, Hospitality, Infrastructure etc. It had to be young and classy both. The name is actually a portmanteau of two names (probably the partners) so it had to be a letter logo symbolizing the same conjugation. I started with some eclectic styles...
He liked the way 'Y&S' came out in that fourth swirly graphic. Although I was more fond of the geometric red one :)
Played around with it's form, placement and proportions. As it is a multifaceted business, the logo would be used across multiple contexts so blue and green combination turned out to be most widely suitable and fresh looking too.
And this is what we finally froze on...Added a pinch of red for that bit of 'dynamism'.
Hoping that it picks up well.
Ultimately, it turned out to be quite a refreshing game for me after all the chaos in life :)
